Founded in 2022, Sam's Wine is a privately held winery based in Nashik, Maharashtra — INDIA'S renowned wine region. We craft residue-free fruit and flower wines, blending sustainable farming practices with artisanal winemaking techniques. Every bottle reflects our commitment to quality, authenticity, and innovation, offering a taste experience unlike any grape-based wine in the region.

Where This Really Comes From

Our founder, Mr. G.V.K. Naidu, has been in the ground since 1996, literally. We built Sam Agri from a single idea: that INDIA grows some of the most extraordinary fruit in the world, and all it needs is someone willing to treat it with the respect it deserves.

We became pioneers in exporting fresh pomegranate arils when nobody else thought it was possible. We built processing facilities in Nashik, Bengaluru, and across South INDIA. We earned the kind of certifications, ISO, BRC, US FDA, Global GAP, Fairtrade, that mean someone in Switzerland trusts our fruit enough to put it in their child's lunchbox. That trust took 25 years to build. It is the foundation Sam's Wine stands on.

Mr. K. N. Rao

Technical Director

K.N. Rao is the visionary who inspired Sam's journey into winemaking by recognizing the potential of transforming premium pomegranate harvests into world-class value-added products. With over 35 years of expertise in agriculture, food processing, research, and product innovation, he laid the technical and strategic foundation for Sam's Wine. His passion for quality, innovation, and sustainable value creation continues to shape our commitment to crafting distinctive fruit wines from the finest produce.

With 10+ years of hands-on experience in winemaking across INDIA, California, and New Zealand, Viraj has been instrumental in building Sam’s Wine from the ground up. From winemaking, R&D and winery operations to branding, sales and market development, he brings together technical expertise and entrepreneurial vision. His vision is to take INDIAN fruit wines from a niche category to a globally recognised expression of INDIA'S unique fruits, flavours and agricultural heritage.

Why 2022?

Because by then, we had everything we needed and no good reason to wait any longer.

We had the farms. We had the knowledge. We had the fruit. What we did not have was someone making wine from it in a way that honoured where it came from. So we became that someone.

Sam's Wine is a dedicated commitment to excellence and a celebration of our land. It is the natural next chapter of everything Sam Agri has built, focused on sharing our agricultural heritage directly with the people right here at home.

Small Batch Production

At Sam's Wine, we believe that exceptional wines are born from focus and care. Our small batch approach allows each wine to receive individual attention at every stage of the winemaking process, from fermentation to bottling.

This method enables us to work closely with locally sourced fruits, carefully monitoring temperature, fermentation pace, and flavor development to bring out the true essence of Pomegranate, Jamun, Strawberry, and Mahua. Each batch is evaluated independently to ensure balance, purity, and consistency in every bottle. By limiting production volumes, Sam’s Wine preserves craftsmanship over mass production. The result is a range of residue-free fruit & flower wines that reflect authenticity, precision, and the distinctive character of INDIAN terroir.
